The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is a music festival which takes place every year during the second week of July in Llangollen, North Wales. Singers and dancers from around the world are invited to take part in over 20 high quality competitions followed each evening by concerts where the best and most colourful competitors share the stage with professional artists.

Over five thousand singers, dancers and instrumentalists from around 50 countries perform to audiences of more than 50,000 over the 6 days of the event.

Every summer since 1947 Llangollen has staged one of the world's most inspirational cultural festivals. Competitors sing and dance in a unique combination of competition, performance, and international peace and friendship.   Its competitions climax with the prestigious 'Choir of the World', which determines the best overall choir of the event. In 2005 Luciano Pavarotti added his name to the competition in recognition of his appreciation of the festival and its influence on his career.

At the 2011 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, the AUP Ambassadors swept the Chamber Choir and Mixed Choir competitions, winning both 1st prizes, and was declared the 2011 “Choir of the World,” and winner of the Luciano Pavarotti trophy.

The AUP Ambassadors is the official chorus of the Adventist University of the Philippines. It was founded in 1957 by an American missionary to the Philippines named Elton Wallace. In 1971, under the new leadership of Professor Minerva Arit-Peñaranda, the Ambassadors was transformed into a mixed chorus, and has since remained so to this date.

The AUP Ambassadors is under the direction of Ramon M. Lijauco, Jr.
