Bringing together 46 galleries, representing over 400 artists and 1,400 works of art, MANILA ART opened its doors at the SMX Convention Center last October 3-6, 2012.

Now on its 4th year, the Manila International Art Fair or best known as ManilART has gained the reputation of being the best venue to take in the finest in Philippine visual art. It is a one-stop art event that every visual art enthusiast shouldn’t miss.

A platform where artworks of the country’s very best visual artists are on display in the likes of Ronald Ventura, Rodel Tapaya, Charlie Co, Winner Jumalon, Emmanuel Garibay, Vincent de Pio, Rom Villaseran, Onib Olmedo, Gus Albor, lee Aguinaldo, Marcel Antonio, Dominic Rubio; to National Artists Arturo Luz, Jose Joya, Ang Kiukok, J. Elizalde Navaro, Abdulmari Imao and Presidential Medal of Merit awardee Juvenal Sanso.

The major activities at this year’s ManilART include a Walking Tour of highlights and major works in the exhibition by top curators; an Art auction featuring up to 30 works reinterpreting the iconic Philippine passenger jeepney, done in partnership with the Jeepney Arts Festival. Workshops, demonstrations and lectures are also scheduled during the 5-day event.
