I always pass by this restaurant but I never got the chance to try it… well… not until last night.

I always wanted to try this out because I was fascinated with a lot of things in this restaurant… first, the name, Bubba Gump… though I do not know what it means but it made me say this 3 words “run forest run!”

My second time in Cebu and am excited to be staying in this famous Hotel.

A long driveway is what you will first see as you enter the Hotel premises. Then, in the lobby are high ceilings with historical paintings, an awesome sight to see. I can’t wait to see the room.

Our room was located on the third floor, a nice view in the hallway because you can see the lobby from there and enjoy the jazz music playing all day and during the evening. But there was a problem, we were given one big bed. I asked my dad if he didn’t request for two single beds. He said that the front desk didn’t even asked. They knew we were there for the exhibit, and was surprised didn’t even went thru the protocol of asking the FAQs like “Smoking or non-smoking”, “two single beds or one master bed?”, “how long will you be checking in?” and so on.

Fronting our hotel, is the newly built I.T. Park in Cebu City. Being a tourist in the area, we tried to explore the place and try to look for a place to eat.

When, in the place they call “The Walk”, where a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops can be found, we were able to spot one restaurant in the corner. Actually, we got curious because the place was packed with people, inside and out. We saw that the plates served are huge so we decided to try it out.

P299.00 dinner buffet is what caught my attention to this restaurant. On our second night in Cebu, this is where we went to get our dinner.

Being new to the place, we didn’t know that we need to make reservations, the receptionist then informed us that she didn’t know when the next sit will be available. So, hungry and tired, we do not want to go to another restaurant so we decided to wait. Though the receptionist doesn’t seem eager to write us on the waiting list, we still stood by the door hoping to be included in the list.

Last Sunday, when the storm "Frank" hit the Philippines, and most of the people are in their homes staying away from the wind, rain and floods, me and a couple of people, head down to CCP that night to watch this one of a kind dance production. Though the storm hit us hard, still, the show must go on.
