NCCA will implement activities in support of the PIAF in different government offices (Senate, House of Representative, Supreme Court and Malacañang), bringing people in government closer to the best of the Filipino art and providing opportunities for the general public to access these performances and exhibits. 

Ani ng Sining sa Sining Gising
Various activities of PIAF and representative of performing groups and artistic directors will be featured in NCCA Sining Gising program at NBN 4 every Sunday of the month of January to February, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Ani ng Dangal Exhibit
The “Ani ng Dangal” Awards was conceptualized to give proper recognition to all Filipino Artists who have won gold medals or first prizes in international competitions and gave honor to the country for the period of January to December 2009. This exhibit is homage to their efforts in further promoting and developing the Philippine culture and arts.

The project aims to introduce and encourage people to participate in the celebration of the PIAF 2010 and to reach a wide range of audience for the various art events.

Ani ng Dangal Awards Night and Closing Ceremonies
The NCCA ends the PIAF 2010 on February 28, 2010. The program will feature the month-long festival and the screening of the year’s celebration in an appreciation dinner. The event will recognize and honor artistic accomplishments of Filipino artists (individual / group) who have made significant contributions to Philippine culture and arts.

Ani ng Sining Grants
Thirty projects in celebration of the National Arts Month will be granted funding assistance for the implementation of their activities that falls under the following categories:
(1) New works,
(2) Based on works by National Artists
(3) previously – staged productions.

Filipino sarsuwela, “Walang Sugat”, by Severino Reyes will be performed by Barasaoin Kalinangan Foundation in Marinduque.

Works of National Artists
Ang Artista ay Bayani: Romancing the Arts at the Riza Shrine
Series of performances at the Rizal Shrine in Calamba highlighting songs and stories that pay tribute to National Artists and artist – heroes as well as music and narrative traditions of Laguna.

Pangalay at Musika ng Bayan
An annotated performance of an endangered generic dance style indigenous to the Sulu Archipelago, Southern Philippines the Pangalay dance.

2nd ASEAN Puppetry Festival
The Philippines will host 3rd ASEAN Puppetry Association which will be participated in by 10 ASEAN countries and is seen to enhance each country’s puppet tradition.
