Galloping its way to ratings supremacy, Zorro undeniably makes its mark on the primetime block of GMA Network after being one of the top-rating programs of the network today.
Based on the overnight ratings conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines, Richard Gutierrez’ latest TV project lives up to its expectations of achieving impressive household ratings on the weekday primetime race.
On Monday, the high-budgeted series remarkably took the number 1 spot with 34.4% topping the overnight ratings among Mega Manila households while on Tuesday, it landed on the second spot with 31.4%.
Zorro definitely appeals to the televiewers most especially the kids who idolize the masked hero. The popularity of the show is very evident that even local businessmen sell various Zorro merchandizes including its mask, costume, sword, cape and hat.
Richard, being the Pinoy Zorro, perfectly embodies the persona of the legendary hero who champions the rights the Indios. This also equally establishes the stronghold of show as one of the top choices of the televiewers on the primetime block.
This week in Zorro, Jumal (Dick Israel) secretly schemes to destroy Circo del Bueno. He releases the rhinoceros Rosa from its cage to inflict chaos in the circus. Richard as Zorro once again saves Lolita (Rhian Ramos) from Rosa. Jumal uses sorcery on Governor Aragon (Eddie Gutierrez) ordering him to stop the operation of Circo del Bueno.
Ramon (TJ Trinidad) arrives in the circus to chase Zorro. Having come face to face with Zorro, Ramon confirms that the button belongs to the caped swordsman. He is bent on knowing the person hiding behind Zorro’s mask so he attempts to kill Agueda (Chanda Romero). Will his evil plan succeed? Will Zorro reveal his real identity to Ramon?
Zorro airs weekdays right after 24 Oras only on GMA.
