Joseph Nathaniel Segovia, a graduate of Management and Informations Systems, saw a need. He saw that there are a lot of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) and micro SMEs who needs help. With this, he started to dream, and turned this dream into a reality.

Though Joseph has a well paid job as a ‘master data manager’ in a prestigious IT company, he doesn’t see himself in that position for long, he wanted to do something that will help the country, something that will help the SME’s productivity. He then saw an opportunity in ICT (Internet Communications Technology). 

Joseph then started to make his intensive research and devoted his time, for a year, on making a software that will assist and increase the productivity of every SMEs. He then discovered that there are 48 million subscribers in all mobile networks, and a billion sms messages are transferred everyday. He then came up with a software that could help SMEs send bulk messages to their clients’ mobile phones for announcements, promotions, advertisements, or to simply send out their latest updates to their clients and contacts. This technology gave birth to what they now call – Powertext.

The software is fast and easy to use. No need for an internet connection. Simply install the Powertext software, plug your mobile phone to your computer and you’re all set to send bulk messages as much as you want. The charge per message depends on your sim/mobile provider. If you enrolled in unlimited texting, it is still applicable when you use the software. The number of characters for the messages to be sent are the same with the configuration in your mobile phones. Good thing with this software, you can store all the messages you receive and sent, as long as the memory of your computer can take it. The software only needs 50mb of your hard drive to store. Also, you can upload your sim and phone’s phonebook with just one click.

For now, the software is limited to a number of mobile units but Joseph will be coming up with the updated version of the software (where you can use your latest phones) within the year.

Joseph is now in the process of adding more features to the software that we should look forward to, like:

• Powertext server (so with one license, a lot of computers can access the server and more people will be able to use the software)
• Online licensing
• Multi-connect (where you can place different mobile networks sim/phone and use them all at the same time)
• 3G, GPRS and MMS capabilities
• GSM modem
