Dr. Jose Mordeno is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering. But eventually after graduation, he handled their family business, in the field of agriculture, back in Agusan. In 1985, he was able to travel to Thailand, Malaysia and India that led him to pursue medicine and studied homeopathy in England thru correspondents, studied acupuncture and different forms of medicines in India, and was able to broaden his knowledge as he face different cases of patients in their clinic. Due to poverty of the people and rising need for medical attention, Dr. Mordeno had a heart to produce a product that will help the people with their sicknesses even without a doctor present in their area. Then, his studies begun.

On the other hand, Dr. Jo-ann Margaret Dy, who wanted to be a pediatrician all her life, is a graduate of Pedia Medicine and was able to have her residency in a prestigious hospital in Manila. She treats her patients using allopathic medicine and with the latest medical technology available. Still, she builds an interest to pursue the study of homeopathic medicine to find alternative cure to her patients who have been in and out of the hospital for some time.

By 1993, Dr. Mordeno and Dr. Dy combined their experiences and expertise to work. They have spent time, extensive study and research to be able to produce a less expensive medicine for their patients. They stayed in India for 2 months and used homeopathic medicine on their patients. The result: almost 80 percent of their patients were cured and instead of being confined in a hospital, they were able to go home with good health.

Dr. Dy also had a patient around 2 to 4 years old, that has a UTI for such a long time. The child was in and out of the hospital and has taken all the allopathic medicines and procedures but still no response. When Dr. Dy gave her a tablet of ferr phos 6x, a natural mineral vitamin supplement full of iron, after 2-3 days, a response was provided from the patient after all the allopathic medicine she implemented.

And so, they continue their study and was able to come up with the birth of Ayus Lactus.
