Philippines is a beautiful tropical country, thus making us experience hot days especially during summer time. With this, Filipinos were able to come up with different solutions to beat the heat. Some go to the beach and take advantage of the sun, others visit the mall to enjoy good and free air conditioning, some wear cotton shirts to keep their skin cool, or bring along a fan to enjoy a soft breeze to ease the day. That is why; it is a typical sight to see an electric fan in every household and in any public place.
Wilfredo Perez just seems to be unsatisfied with the performance a typical electric fan. Around February 2004, when he was in the church, the fan just doesn’t seem to reach him because it only revolves in a specific area. This then gave him an idea to build a fan that will revolve 360 degrees thus making everyone in the room comfortable. Able to take computer engineering for one year and computer technology in the following year and a short course in electrical, he started to conceptualize the project and was able to come up with a prototype on December 2004. Since his childhood, he loves to work with electronics and experiment things so when his brother saw that his invention worked; he was not surprised at all. Materials used in the creation of the motor for the revolving fan are all fabricated. It has many special materials needed that are not available in the market. If all materials are available, he can produce at least one electric fan per day. Mass productions for big orders are a possibility. Wilfredo’s message, “Support the inventions of the Filipinos. This will encourage us to continue with our work. To my fellow Filipino inventors, continue and strive to pursue your dreams and visions. Don’t let anything hinder you.” For your inquiries about this invention, send your email HERE.
